Trance was the first sound that mattered to HACKETT. More than a decade later, he's making a record that runs both directions at once — back toward what first pulled him in, and forward into where the genre is going next.

Thin Air is a three-track EP that lays out the full span of HACKETT's sound. The title track is the early-2000s uplift played through 2026 production — the hands-in-the-air lift of classic trance, sharpened. Work It is the harder, more contemporary edge, drawing on the energy Ollie Lishman has been pushing into the genre. Don't Care goes the other way: bouncier, heavier, more rave-leaning, the side of HACKETT's making before trance fully took the wheel.
