Brick Sweat Records presents… Ika Sile and his new project Bangin’ The Beat EP.
Ika Sile is an up-and-coming producer from France, currently residing in Paris. He has been honing his production skills and has blessed us with 4 tracks that span the electronic spectrum. The title track, Bangin’ The Beat, is a new-age techno anthem. Using vintage hardware emulators like the Roland TR-909, TB-303, and Juno-106, Ika has crafted simple yet effective arrangements, filled with irregular percussion, banging kick drums, and subtle FX—culminating in a solid party project.
Ika explained his creative process by saying:
“My style is all about blending raw energy with nostalgia. I usually start with old-school drum patterns: crunchy 909s, layered kicks, and dusty hi-hats to lay down a solid, driving foundation. From there, I bring in rave stabs and synth lines, often pulled from classic Roland plugins like the JUNO-106, SH-101, or the TB-303, which give that unmistakable analog grit and movement. I also spend a lot of time digging for vocal snippets and classic acapellas—anything with character, really—and then chopping them up to add texture and a soulful feel. It’s a balance of instinct and experimentation, chasing that moment when everything clicks and the track just comes alive.”
Ika is currently enjoying success, with upcoming shows at Shift Radio in Montreal, an appearance at the Rex Club in Paris, and a few festival gigs lined up for the summer. He also has more music on the way, with his next project dropping this June.
